I should have guessed as soon as I posted a pic of my friend Casey she’d go lose some more weight and have an even better pic! She’s looking fantastic!

My sneezy week …

Monday, May 13, 2013

I’ve seen a lot of people posting on Facebook about allergies (and just sneezing a lot around me), and I really didn’t know what they were talking about until now. I’ve been fortunate enough to never suffer from allergies in my life. So, every morning I drink a fruit juice with tons of antioxidants, and while I drink it mainly to reduce inflammation (a contributing factor to heart attacks and strokes, if you didn’t know), I know others who swear by it for allergies.

Well, for some reason I miscalculated my supply and ran out of juice for a week. Oh. My. Gosh. All I did was sneeze all day and deal with a runny nose. Not to mention annoying my friend when my nose was completely stuffed up and caused a lot of snoring. I had no idea what was going on, but I told several people I think it’s allergies and I think it’s because I’m out of juice. Long story short, I was finally able to get my hands on more juice and within a day my nose was clear and I wasn’t sneezing anymore. Even I was amazed. Now, maybe that’s all a coincidence. But, then again, maybe it’s not?

My health story was featured in today’s corporate newsletter. It’s one of the most difficult — and revealing — things I’ve ever written. But, if it helps just one person, it’s worth me sharing it.

Something to think about …

Tuesday, May 7, 2013

You can pay for your health NOW or you can pay for it later, when poor health leads to medical issues… WHAT IF I TOLD YOU, YOU COULD DETOX and CLEANSE YOUR BODY AND LOSE WEIGHT FOR less than $10 per day?? Do you think detoxing and cleansing your body from all the processed unhealthy foods we eat is important?? Is losing 5 to 15 pounds in 8 days a goal for you? Is a long-term healthy lifestyle you can easily maintain important to you? It’s all about PRIORITY. MAKE THE DECISION TO MAKE YOUR HEALTH A PRIORITY. There are so many health BENEFITS to taking care of yourself and feeding your body with good supplements (see chart).

Think about this:
Money Spent:
Soda, energy drinks, coffee: $_______ per day x 31=$_______
Eat Out (per day)
Breakfast $_____ x 31=$______
Lunch $_____ x 31=$_____
Supper $_____ x 31=$_____
Vending Machine/Snacks: $_____ per day x 31=$_____
5 hour energy $_____ per day x 31=$_____
Total per day $_____ x 31=$___

Achieve and maintain your goal for less than $10 per day and maintenance can be much less! WHICH WILL YOU CHOOSE????? I’m so glad that I chose NOW and not later!!! SO WORTH IT!!!

So many great people at the event last night in Gardner!

Something called financial freedom …

Thursday, April 25, 2013

I don’t like to talk about money, but I’m going to make an exception today because I feel too compelled not to.

Many of you have asked me about the supplements I use and the great success I’ve experienced, but recently more of you have asked about the business opportunity with my health and wellness company. I’m going to give it to you straight because I don’t know how else to do it. Those of you who know me well (or even remotely pay attention to my Facebook feed) know I’m pretty much an open book and share sometimes pretty funny or even embarrassing things. That’s just me.

About one month into my health journey (so March 2012) I started making enough money by referring others to pay for my products each month. When I say refer, this is what I mean: People ask me about the products, and I send them to www.slimjenm.com, have them check them out and then send me any questions. If they are interested, I help them place an order for whatever best fits their health goals. If not, that’s cool; I appreciate them taking the time to show interest in something that’s very important to me. That’s it. So, since then the amount of money I’ve made each month has varied. Sometimes it was $400 or $500. Sometimes it was $800 or $900. One month, it was almost $1,300. But no matter what, it’s covered my personal product use, which was my initial goal. Well, that is, until I realized the possibilities.

My friend, Kara, (from Louisburg) made more than $7,000 a month in both February and March. That’s more than double her salary as a full-time college professor – a profession she went to school for six years to do. My friends, Kasey (from Baldwin City) and Jayna (from Centropolis – near Ottawa) make more than $10,000 a month on top of their jobs as a teacher and dental hygienist. And then there’s my friend Cala (from Burlington) who literally makes more money in one month helping people get healthy than I make in an entire year at my job. I wish I was making this stuff up. Sometimes, I feel like I am because nobody believes it. Trust me, I only believe it because I know these women. They’re busy mothers and wives, but to put it bluntly, they’re making a fortune on the side of their everyday lives by helping others. People dream their whole lives of that kind of financial freedom. They’re living it.

So, is there a business opportunity with this health and wellness company? I’m going to go with a yes, but you don’t have to take my word for it.

Got to see some of my favorite people at our April team meeting! :)

Meet my friend Sharla!

Monday, April 22, 2013

My friend — and inspiration — Sharla Aday Ports, from Chanute, Kan., just did a new “now” photo. She’s lost 123 pounds. Amazing.

Here’s her story in her own words: When people start using these products, I love to tell them to “hold on and ENJOY the ride”……and this is why. I started using these products January 20, 2012. After the first day, I had lost 6 pounds. I was still skeptical that the products could work so fast and easily…I expected the scale to go back up, to my amazement, the next day I was down another 2 pounds. After my first 8 days, I had lost 16 pounds! Needless to say, I was hooked, and knew that I could continue to lose pounds and inches until I reached my goal. I didn’t have the heart to measure before I started, but I could tell by the way that my clothes were fitting, that I was losing inches as well. On my 8-month anniversary using the products, I had lost 100 pounds. I took a few months off, and maintained the weight I had lost, and even lost a few more pounds. I’ve now lost 123 pounds!

Had a flashback last night at Kara’s house while chatting with Patty about the party we went to like this just over a year ago to hear about the health journey Kara had started. It’s pretty remarkable what can happen in a year when you just take that initial first step. It’s been a wild ride, and it’s just beginning! :)

A little Arkansas photo comparison!

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

You guys know I love an opportunity for a good side-by-side. Here’s a collection of Jillissa’s and I’s trips to Eureka Springs to visit our dad — from her and Levi’s wedding there in 2009, to my New Year’s Eve visit there in 2010 to our Father’s Day road trip in 2011 to this past weekend!

Turns out, my butt really fit!

Saturday, April 6, 2013

Interesting convo I had with my friend Courtney
this week:

Me: Look at these new dress pants I got from Goodwill for $5!
Courtney: Those look really small. Are you sure your butt will fit in them? (I don’t think she meant that in an insulting way — they did just look small!)
Me: *puzzled look* Well, yeah, I tried them on before I bought them.
Courtney: I’m not even sure my butt would fit in them!

Turns out, I wore them this week so my butt did really fit. Haha :)

Meet my friend Casey!

Thursday, April 4, 2013

Meet my friend Casey Cabay Greenly from Lawrence, Kan. (but who works just down the road from me in Ottawa!). She has reshaped and dropped four dress sizes! Woohoo!
